	Based on the outcomes from the nomination and selection process, we are pleased to announce that the 2009 IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee Outstanding Service Award will be given to Prof. Hsiao-Hwa Chen, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. ◆	The RCC has decided to appoint Professor KC Chen, National Taiwan University, as the liaison for ComSoc technical standard activities
	Based on the motion approved in the TAC meeting of ICC08, the RCC has decided to appoint Professor KC Chen, National Taiwan University, as the liaison for ComSoc technical standard activities. Prof. Chen has a lot of experience to work with industry as well as academia, and thus he is a right person to represent RCC as the liaison for the ComSoc standard activities.
◆	2008 IEEE ComSoc RCC Outstanding Service Award

	The BoG of ComSoc, in its recent Meeting of Washington DC (within Globecome 2007), has approved the recertification of RCC. We would like to thank all of RCC members for joint effort to make RCC a viable and active Technical Committee in ComSoc.

In the meeting, the 2007 IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee Technical Recognition Award was given to Prof. Robert A. Scholtz and 2007 IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee Outstanding Service Award was given to Prof. Ulema.

◆	ComSoc's Call for Tutorial on "RF Communications"
	If you are working on RF Communications, there is an opportunity for you to submit a tutorial on "RF Communications" to ComSoc. If your tutorial proposal is accepted for its Use in ComSoc on-line tutorial called "Tutorials Now!", you will also be paid an honorarium involved. ◆	RCC member email list is ready for registration in the new RCC web site
	RCC member email list is ready for registration in the new RCC web site. Registered members will be able to use the RCC email to send "Call-for-Papers" for journal special issues and technical conferences/symposia/workshops, and other appropriate information to all RCC members. They will also be able to receive various relevant information from this email list. The use of the RCC email list is free. However, we require that the users should not send non-IEEE based information using this email list.
◆	Newly elected RCC Officers for Jan. 1, 2007 - Dec. 31, 2008
	IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee (RCC) has elected the new officers for their term from January 1 2007 to December 31 2008. The new Chair is Hsiao-Hwa Chen, National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan; The Vice Chair is Andreas F. Molisch, Lund University, Sweden; and the Secretary is Davide Dardari, University of Bologna at Cesena, Italy.
